La Postface du film India Song (1975) s’organise en plusieurs parties. On assiste tout d’abord au face à face de Dominique Noguez, fin connaisseur de l’ensemble de son œuvre, avec Marguerite Duras, reliant le film aux deux romans dont il émane : Le Ravissement de Lol V. Stein et Le Vice-consul. De nombreux thèmes sont alors abordés : l’enfance, les empreints autobiographiques, les relations entre les différents personnages et les différents films… Les acteurs principaux d’India Song – Delphine Seyrig et Michael Lonsdale, qui incarnaient respectivement Anne-Marie Stretter et le vice-consul de France – se joignent ensuite à la conversation. Ils soulèvent pour leurs parts la question du « dépeuplement » de l’acteur, du rôle des voix… Marguerite Duras évoque des souvenirs du tournage avec le compositeur Carlos d’Alessio et son chef-opérateur Bruno Nuytten. Chacune de ces conversations étant évidemment ponctuées par de nombreux extraits du film. (diplomatie.gouv.fr)

A student becomes a fugitive from justice in the wake of the May Day riots in France in 1968. His older brother Vincent (Jean-Pierre Mocky) is a violin-playing diamond smuggler who performs on cruise ships. He runs interference for his brother and his girlfriend to throw the police off their trail. Soon Vincent is branded as a vicious killer along with his brother. The younger brother got involved with some trigger-happy anarchists and killed some people at an orgy. The police are depicted as the villains who drive the French youth to murder in this tepid crime drama.

Leon Okrasa works a hospital in a small city in Poland. He once witnessed a brutal rape. The victim, Anna, is now a young nurse in the same hospital. Leon spends his time spying on Anna day and night–she becomes an obsession for him. One night, he becomes so bold that he climbs into her apartment through an open window. Leon then sits on her bed and watches her. However, it is unclear how far he will go with his obsession.

“Cztery noce z Anna” (Four Nights with Anna) is the first film in 17 years from the great Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski. It’s small, bleakly funny, quite sad, and beautifully controlled – a tale of peeping-tom passion about a hospital handyman who drugs his favorite nurse’s nighttime tea so he can sit and watch her as she sleeps. The film teases the pathos and even nobility out of this wretched man. It also features a great physical performance by Artur Steranko as the frightened, clever, seeming halfwit who spends his days tending a small town’s hospital crematorium and his evenings spying on the ample nurse who lives across the muddy way.
